Your editor reports:

On February 10, 2008, the BonjourQuebec.com Ice Canoe team, of which Evan Price (W22B) is a member, won the 53rd edition of the Quebec Winter Carnival ice canoe race in the Sport class. Starting from the 14th position, the BonjourQuebec.com ran a perfect race in difficult conditions across to Levis and back to Quebec City in under 35 minutes to finish first amongst the 24 boats in the category. The canoe was captained by David Blair and David’s son, Sam, was amongst the crew members. The Price and Blair families of Quebec City have been close collaborators over many generations, first in the Price Company and now in ice canoeing.

Bryan Price (W23C) writes:

One piece of news for the public interest is that Andrea and I took  delivery of another boy on January 19, 2007. Lucas Arthur is a great  addition to the family and has already begun smiling and charming  anyone who can help him meet his daily needs of food, play and  sleep.  I have attached this picture of him at four months.

Grandparents Scott and Toni are maximizing their flying privileges on  Air Canada to visit us often, which is greatly appreciated by yours  truly, but less so by the Air Canada revenue assurance department.

We are looking forward to our return to Montreal this summer with a  possible side trip to Tad.

Brian Price (W14C) writes in part:

We will certainly book out for the 2010 reunion as it is important to me that we maintain some contact with our Canadian roots – Sara will almost be 9 so she will at least have some ability to take it all in.  Hopefully it will be in the later half of June (HINT HINT) as that is when school holidays commence over here for a few weeks (started last Friday for instance!).

All the best,

Brian

Katherine Price Zmijewski (W52A) reports:

I am still working as a real estate agent for Quadrant Homes here in the Seattle area. My husband, Alex, is still a contractor for the US military, acting in the role of IT support for the Stryker unit that is deploying in the fall. Alex will be going to Iraq for 4 months, starting in September, so we won't have Christmas together this year. Fortunately, we have two wonderful Soft Coated Wheaten terrier doggies that will keep me company while he is away. My brother, David Price, got married this year in Montreal to Catherine McKenzie on May 8th. They went on honeymoon in Greece and had a great time. David has joined my father, Michael Price, in his desk-top publishing business, Price-Patterson Ltd. All is well.

John Price (W32C) reports (on behalf of Sam):

Excuse the delay in reaching you all but I've spent most of the last nine months learning to eat, roll-over, smile and ask for more .... no I am not a trained seal but one of several new additions to the Price family over the last 12 months.  The name is Samuel William Price, a name that I am told is rich in tradition in the Price tree, though it should be noted that my middle name was inspired specifically by William Glassco, uncle Bill to many of us.  I was born in Miami, Florida on September 20th, 2003, just as Hurricane Floyd was hitting the Carolinas. Fortunately for me and my mother, Ulli, Floyd, that was headed straight for Miami, veered north two days before I was born.  Regardless, my parents kept their cool and were seen dancing till 1:00 am three days before I was born - typical Prices, never miss a party.

So far, I've met only the west coast contingent of the sprawling Price network, having flown to Vancouver at Christmas, for my very own blessing ceremony plus several year end celebrations.  I'm now keen to meet some of my other cousins so this summer, I've convinced my Mama and Papa to take me to Tadoussac where we will be joined by Ed, Charles, David, Sarah, Matt, and Nigel Price along with a couple of S.L.U.T.S., Val, Cam and Pauline.  We'll be there from August 14 - 28th in Casa Nueva, if ya'll (I'm a Southerner don't ya know) want to come by.

xo,
Sam

Alexa (W13B4) is in her last year of high school, and planning to go to college and study teaching.
