Update to Tori's note of 10th February message about our raising funds for Sally's school in Kenya:

The unbelievable generosity of you all, together with Sally's friends and relations in North America, and quite a number of people who think we are all nuts - has brought up a remarkable sum of £8300 so far towards James Buckle's wonderful work in the Akamba district of Kenya.
Thank you all so very much for all your support - we set out to raise £4000 for a school to be built in Kenya and named in memory of Sally, but now James has the additional £4300 to put towards the 'special needs' school that he has his heart set on.
Sal would have done this with me on our tandem, quietly and stoically, and we would have got there - no question of giving up. And so it was with us - a tale to tell our children's children."

Nigel (Tori) Morris, husband of Victoria (H84A) writes:

You will I am sure know that Mum died in August after her 3 year struggle with cancer. One of her main interests in later years/this century was chairing the village Infants School Governors.  Education was very close to her heart. Dr James Buckle is a main player in the  Akamba Aid Fund which works some 150 miles north of Nairobi, Kenya. He was wonderfully kind and supportive of Mum through her travails as her GP/doctor and we in the family feel it will be a suitable, and wonderful  memorial for Mum to fund the rebuiling of a small village school inthe Akamba area. You can discover all about Akamba and James' work there at www.akambaaidfund.org/page/sally%27s_school_for_kasenei/90
This 2 room school will be built of concrete block and rendered, with a concrete floor (to keep the white ants from eating the wooden desks), and a tin roof complete with good guttering to collect the water for drinking storage.
This 'Sally's School' will cost £4000 in total. We already have £1000 towards this sum.
Dad and my siblings will be riding bicycles across England Coast to Coast from Whitehaven to Sunderland over 3 days of Easter - 150 miles and several very numb bums!
I hope you will agree that  Sally's School is a great cause and will make a lasting memory for our lovely Mum. If so, I do hope you can be as generous as possible in sponsoring this crazy ride!

It is with much sadness I have to report that my wife, Sally (H84), youngest child of Ted and Mary Price, died on 20th August 2008 in South Petherton, Somerset, England, surrounded by her four children (Tori, Jonathan, Gilly and Struan).

She had been suffering from ovarian cancer. Her memorial service was attended by 220 people, amongst whom were Greville Price (H81), Tim Price (H82), and Ginny Bell (H83).

Sheila Campbell (H24) writes in part:

We moved to Ottawa (from Lachute) in February 2006. Our daughter, Vicki, gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Sophie Williams Campbell (by donor insemination) on March 2, 2006, and they also are living in Ottawa. Our son, Ken is living with his wife, Maureen and two children, Maggie and Jack, in Vilnius, Lithuania. Ken is  CEO of Bite, a telecommunications firm operating in Latvia and Lithuania.

In summertime, you will find Jim and me in Tadoussac where we built a house in 2002.

Pictures from Tadoussac this summer.

It was my “First Cousin Marathon” as I ran around Tad, looking for my some of my first cousins in about two and a half hours.  I did see Greville(H81) and Avril, but my camera was not handy.

In some cases, my cousins are easy to find as the Harry Price clan has that distinctive curly hair.  The last time I had been to Tad was for our family reunion when it was there, so I surprised a few people!
